Number of young people seeking mental health help highest ever, says charity
THE number of young people being referred to mental health services is at its highest level since records began in 2016, NHS data reveals.
Urgent referrals, including those who are suicidal and have self-harmed, almost doubled since 2019
Some 90,789 young people in March were referred to Child and Adolescent Mental Health services. YoungMinds said the figure is also a 41 percent rise on the previous month.
