Woman, 39, living with long Covid turns to social media as doctors can’t help
LOIS Spencer-Tracey has been living with long Covid since being struck by the virus in November 2020. The 39-year-old lifestyle blogger previously ran marathons but now struggles with breathlessness, blurred vision and acid reflux.
She said: “Having long Covid has been exhausting, mentally and physically. I’ve never experienced breathlessness before and all of a sudden after catching Covid I would get very breathless doing the smallest of tasks or even before going to sleep. to others with this horrible condition on social media.”
“It’s a terrifying experience. I’ve struggled to get through the day without napping.”
In November, Lois felt sharp pains in her arms, dizziness and sickness and was taken to A&E amid fears she was having a heart attack or stroke.
She said doctors did not seem to know how to help. Lois added: “I’ve been passed from pillar to post and it does sometimes feel like my concerns are falling on deaf ears.
