Egg chair set drops to lower price at Dusk than M&S and it's perfect for small gardens

Spring has finally arrived, and with it comes the promise of warmer days. This week, the season is bringing some of the highest temperatures the UK has seen so far this year. It feels like the perfect moment to start thinking about refreshing your outdoor space, especially if you’d rather get ahead of the rush before everyone else has the same idea. Better still, there are already plenty of sales around if you know where to look.
Of course, while there’s no shortage of garden furniture options out there, things can feel a bit more limited if your outdoor space is on the smaller side. If, like me, you’re working with a compact patio or a balcony, finding something that fits without overwhelming the space can be a challenge.
That’s why this particular set caught my eye. It’s compact, but still looks genuinely comfortable enough for everyday use. Even better, it’s currently dropped to under £200 on one website.
The egg chair set from the brand Royalcroft is available at Marks and Spencer for £200 and Wayfair for £209.99. However, it’s on sale right now on Dusk, where the table and chair set is down to £199. Alongside the price, it ticks plenty of other boxes, including great reviews.

Made from a grey rattan, the set has a versatile look that should blend easily into most outdoor spaces without clashing with existing decor. It includes two hand-woven egg chairs and a matching side table with a glass top. The chairs themselves feel like a relaxed take on the usual bistro style, with lower, wider seats and a laid-back, almost poolside feel.
That relaxed design seems to equate to comfort, too, which reviewers say is one of its standout features. While there aren’t currently any reviews on the Dusk website, the set has been well reviewed on both Wayfair and M&S. "The chairs are surprisingly roomy and super comfortable – we’ve ended up using them more than our actual garden sofa," said a customer who left a review on the Wayfair website.
Its compact footprint is another big draw. The table measures just 50cm wide, making it a practical option for smaller patios or terraces, as plenty of shoppers have pointed out. One customer wrote: "I don’t have a big garden, but it fits in nicely." Another added that it works perfectly on their "small balcony".
Over on Marks and Spencer, one shopper said: "Arrived quickly, easy to assemble (but it does take two people) and it’s really comfortable, in a lounging rather than a sitting up straight sort of way. Overall, really pleased with my purchase."
The assembly itself is fairly straightforward, with only the legs needing to be screwed in, and they come ready-greased. That said, there have been a couple of minor issues raised. One Wayfair shopper mentioned that the legs didn’t screw in fully, which caused them to fall over, while another noted their pack was missing a screw.
As for durability, Dusk describes the rattan as "weather-resistant". Still, as is often the case with outdoor furniture, it’s worth covering it when it’s not in use—particularly during the winter months when the weather inevitably turns.
