I hated mowing my lawn until I tried a cordless mower — it's game-changing and under £200
I've always found mowing the lawn quite a chore, until I tried an incredible cordless mower by Flymo.

Mowing the lawn can feel tiring and boring due to several factors, including the repetitive nature of the task as well as the physical effort it requires. On top of this, making sure you don’t mow over the power cable can also be quite the task.
Despite it being tiresome, it’s a garden job which must be done if you want a thriving lawn all year round. I recently tried my first ever cordless lawn mower, and it’s been game-changing.

I trialled the Flymo SimpliStore 300 Li9705395-01 Lawn Mower, which retails for £169 on AO.com. I have tried many lawnmowers out in the past, so it was very easy to see the difference in this new one compared to the previous cuts.
The lawnmower was very easy to assemble, and the batteries were very quick to charge.
What’s more, it has a handy 30-litre collection bin, meaning you won’t have to rake up any grass clippings, which are sometimes left on top of the lawn.
The adjustable cutting height means you can give it the exact finish you want too. To start with, I kept it quite high as the lawn had now been cut that much as it was quite early in the season.

It’s also important to keep it quite high when the weather is super hot, otherwise the lawn could burn, but generally a short cut is recommended.
Its ergonomic handle made pushing it around the lawn super simple and quick, and it even folds away neatly, too, to make it easy to carry and store vertically. I was amazed at how well the lawn mower cut my grass because it felt quite lightweight, but it was perfect.
It managed to reach all of the edges, and it was a breeze without having to worry about a cable. I also didn’t find that I was going over areas of the lawn twice, which I have found to be the case with other machines.
After mowing, there was still charge left in the battery, and there was also lots of space left in the collector box.

For the price, this lawn mower was incredible, and all of my family has really enjoyed using it.
In fact, it’s one of the cheapest on the market, with 20% currently off at Argos when customers use code RED20.
If you have a bigger budget, Flymo also have a series of other cordless mowers on the market. This includes the Flymo 36V EasiStore 34OR 970538301 Lawn Mower for £299, which has a larger collection bin and a rear roller to add stripes.
Bosch also has a series of cordless lawnmowers on Argos for sale with its UniversalRotak available for £450. It has five cutting heights, a 40L collection capacity and can be corded or cordless.
If you're not looking for a cordless mower, AO.com also stocks Flymo's Easi Glide 300 AC 9704830-01 Lawn Mower for just £119. It has received several five-star ratings and features ergonomic handles, a 20-litre collection bin, as well as a 10m cable.
