I adore Hydrangea, they are simply a must in every garden.

They have love lasting ornamental displays that last throughout the year.

To get the very best from our Hydrangea we should regularly care for them. The same techniques can be used for potted and ground planted Hydrangea.

We should feed them regularly to get the very best floral display whilst promoting healthy and strong growth.

I use Vitax Hydrangea Feed as it's granular and gives my Hydrangea everything they need to thrive.

A scoop of this granular feed once per month during the growing season gives the Hydrangea a boost.

Gardener shares how to properly care for Hydrangea

We need to ensure the Hydrangea is hydrated, they are very thirsty and need to be kept watered to ensure they don’t wilt and droop. Hydrangea by name and Hydration by nature is my moto for them.

The watering should always be done to the base of the plant, we don’t want to water onto the flowers as this can cause scorching and browning.

They prefer Part Sun, and ideally afternoon sunshine opposed to early morning sunshine.

This also helps to prevent the flower display from scorching and browning. The mix of sun and shade gives just the right balance for Hydrangea.
