Top Tips for creating amazing pancake art:
· Have some fun by adding a dash of food colouring to the batter – create faces, hair or even clothes using different coloured batters.
· Use a squeezy bottle for complete control of your pancake art and to create the features of the shape.
· Draw prominent shapes and outlines first so that they can brown, meaning the detail will stand out more.
· Try not to leave any holes in your lines to stop the batter seeping out.
· Need a darker shade of batter to add features to your shape? Add a dash of cocoa powder into the mix or even apple sauce to make it slightly thicker.
· Once the whole pancake has cooked, use two fish slices to flip the pancake, giving you more control and helping you not to lose the shape.
· Your first is always the worst - practice makes perfect after all so, don’t give up!
