'World famous' fish and chips coming to 32 Morrisons cafes — full list
A famous chain is launching in Morrisons cafes across the UK.
Harry Ramsdens is set to arrive at numerous Morrisons cafés across the UK from next week. From August 10, 32 of the supermarket's kitchens will begin serving the iconic fish, chips and mushy peas to diners.
Among the areas included are Leeds, Reading, Leicester and Exeter. The initiative will run under Harry Ramsdens' 'Proudly Serving' partnership model. This approach has enabled the brand to extend beyond its own restaurants into major retailers, including frozen food giant Iceland.
While this marks the first occasion the fish and chips will be available in Morrisons cafés, it isn't the inaugural collaboration between the two brands.
A selection of Harry Ramsdens' products has been stocked in the supermarket's chilled section and available on its website since September 2025.
The range has featured an array of popular items, such as battered cod fillets, chunky fish fingers and steak pies. Classic British accompaniments include mushy peas, curry sauce and gravy.
The café rollout forms part of Harry Ramsdens' broader strategy to grow beyond its traditional restaurant footprint.
Chief Executive James Fleming described the café agreement as a substantial opportunity to introduce the brand to millions of additional consumers through a trusted national supermarket chain.
He went on to explain that the collaboration would enable the company to expand the availability of its fish and chips while preserving the quality and heritage synonymous with the brand, according to the Grocery Gazette.
Morrisons senior café trading manager Will Reed said: "Harry Ramsden's is an iconic British brand, and we're excited to introduce its famous fish and chips to customers in our cafés this summer".
He continued by saying the supermarket aimed to provide customers with the "comforting taste of a classic chippy tea", complete with substantial portions and excellent value.
Harry Ramsdens has earned its reputation as "the home of world-famous fish and chips" since welcoming its first customers nearly a century ago. Founded in 1928, it started life as a modest wooden hut in Guiseley, West Yorkshire.
After achieving remarkable success, founder Harry Ramsden marked the business's 21st anniversary by staging "the big fry", a landmark occasion during which over 1,000 portions of fish and chips were served in just one day, setting a world record at that time.
Currently, there are eight standalone Harry Ramsdens restaurants, though all of these are located south of the border. Nevertheless, a selection of its products can be found in more than 2,000 shops spanning nine countries.
