Garlic bread will be buttery and crisp in just 5 minutes - no oven
This easy five-minute recipe is ideal for when you want a quick, tasty snack.

For some people, cooking is a long process that requires lots of thought and attention, but for others, the quicker food can be cooked, the better. Less time spent faffing about in the kitchen means more time to sit down, relax and enjoy a tasty snack, which makes this garlic bread recipe ideal.
As snacks go, there are few things that can top a delicious slice of buttery, garlic bread topped with a generous dollop of cheese - and what’s even better is you can make it at home in just five minutes. The secret to creating deliciously crispy garlic bread in a matter of minutes is an air fryer. Air fryers are great for whipping up tasty meals fast as they typically have a shorter cooking time than an oven and can produce crisp textures with a minimal amount of oil, making them a healthier option than deep fat frying.

While the cooking basket in an air fryer is smaller than an oven, it should be plenty big enough for a batch of garlic break and thanks to the rapid air circulation, you’ll be tucking in in no time.
According to cooking author and food blogger Arman Liew, from The Big Man’s World, you only need five ingredients to create deliciously crisp and buttery garlic bread in an air fryer. These include a plain white baguette, softened salted butter, garlic cloves, fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese.
To create the garlic butter, simply add 63g of butter, 31g of garlic, 31g of parmesan cheese and 1 teaspoon of parsley to a bowl and mix together. Then spread this mixture generously across your baguette, which should be cut into 2-inch thick slices.
Then grease your air fryer basket and heat it to 180C before cooking your garlic bread slices for around 5 minutes until golden brown.
Arman said: “My air fryer garlic bread is the FASTEST way to make buttery, cheesy, and crisp garlic bread – it takes just 5 minutes.”
He adds: "It takes a quarter of the time that oven baking does. Like my air fryer bread, because the air fryer circulates the heat, the bread is always crispy, but the middle is soft and fluffy.
“It works with fresh or frozen garlic bread. While I love making this from scratch, you can also use pre-frozen garlic bread.
“It’s versatile. Don’t think my cheesy garlic bread is reserved for pasta or pizza nights! I make it as an easy side dish for soups, chicken, or whenever we want a quick snack.”
