I went to a fun and affordable afternoon tea in London and one thing blew me away
Mamma Mia! Afternoon tea allows guests to enjoy the chance to enjoy some delicious food all inspired by the famous band and its musical.
For those who love an afternoon tea will want to make note as there is a brand new experience guests can enjoy.
Strand Palace Hotel, which is located in London’s West End, will bring a touch of Abba to its proceedings with its MAMMA MIA! Afternoon Tea experience.
For those who are a fan of the iconic band or plan on going to see the musical, which is located a few minutes walk away from the Novello Theatre, will be pleased with the playful twist on their music.
The experience offers customers to try sweet and savoury treat inspired by the Swedish band’s music and the great musical characters.
We got to try out the experience for ourselves and we certainly wasn’t disappointed. Customers can try several dishes including Tanya’s Chiquitita Wrap. This is tikka marinated chicken, and the Voulez-Vent, a vol-au-vent filled with poached salmon.
Meanwhile, there is the classic Slipping Through My Fingers cucumber and tzatziki finger sandwiches with the dip adding a refreshing Greek-inspired touch.
Let’s not forget sweet treats such as Donna’s Dynamo Ball, which is a coconut macaroon filled with citrus curd that is inspired by the sparkle of the popular West End show.
Sophie’s Dream Lemon Drizzle Gateau is a sharp lemon drizzle gateau topped with a candy floss cloud and finally a personal favourite is the Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! dark chocolate midnight cake with hazelnut praline which is simply delicious and a great way to end the experience.
No afternoon tea would be the same without scones. The Winner Takes The Scone is a traditional fruit scone served with clotted cream and raspberry jam.
MAMMA MIA! Afternoon Tea is available until November 2025 and costs £43 per person with a children’s menu priced at £25.
