Issued on Tesco’s website as well as the Food Standards Agency (FSA), customers are urged to not eat mince pies.

Tesco said: “We’re recalling specific date codes of Tesco Finest Six All Butter Pastry Mince Pies, due to the possible presence of small pieces of dry glue from the packaging.”

The possible presence of the dry glue from the packaging makes them unsafe to eat.

No other Tesco products are affected by this issue, according to the supermarket.
