There's nothing quite like the refreshing fizz of a cold drink on a scorching summer day. Chilled, soothing and bursting with flavour, these effervescent beverages are just the ticket to revitalise you when you're feeling weary, overheated and in dire need of a sugary boost.

Yet, it appears we've been pouring our fizzy favourites incorrectly all this time.

A TikTok user has let slip that we've all been making a fundamental error when it comes to pouring our bottled drinks, revealing there's a correct technique for transferring liquids into glasses.

If you're someone who painstakingly pours your beverage into a glass incrementally, prepare to have your world turned upside down by this game-changing tip.

In her viral video, Taylor Watson, who goes by the handle taylormakesvideos, demonstrates how she fills a glass with Coca-Cola using an ingenious method.

She begins by placing a glass atop the open bottle and swiftly inverts it. Taylor then cautiously allows the Cola to escape from the bottle bit by bit, elevating it slowly as the glass becomes full.

Astonishingly, this method ensures the glass is filled to the brim without creating an excessive frothy head, reports the Mirror.

Since Taylor uploaded her tutorial, it has racked up thousands of views and garnered numerous comments. Many viewers confessed they employ the same technique but suggested wiping the bottle clean before giving it a go.

One impressed viewer exclaimed: "This is actually kind of smart," while another pointed out: "This is the proper way to pour Guinness too."

A third reminisced: "Did this at poker night. People were amazed. I've known this since I was a kid."

While some admitted they were already familiar with the trick, others pointed out alternative methods for efficient pouring.

One user commented: "I just go with the tilt and pour." Another added their two cents: "I always pour it on the side. Maybe it's because I'm used to pouring beer."
