'Heavenly' chocolate lava cakes can be cooked in the air fryer in less than 10 minutes

If you're looking for a sweet treat for your weekend dessert or a little sugary pick-me-up, chocolate lava cakes are a decadent and delicious option. Chocolate lava cakes, also known as chocolate molten cakes, consist of a chocolate cake with a delicious liquid chocolate core.
TikTok cook Rachel shared her "easy and delicious recipes" on TikTok under the username @rachel.hornibrook.

She showed how to make her delicious take on lava cakes using Nutella spread and just four additional ingredients, which have been described as "heavenly" by commenters.
The five-ingredient cake can be whipped up in less than 10 minutes in the air fryer, according to Rachel's recipe. Air fryers have grown in popularity in recent years as they can, in some cases, be a healthier cooking method and they also can be a quicker option - ultimately saving money when it comes to household bills.
She notes that if you do not have an air fryer you can also cook the cakes in the oven. If you are using an oven instead of an air fryer, bake the cake at the same temperature but add an extra minute or two onto the usual cooking time.

Add the Nutella & egg to a small bowl and mix. Add the flour and milk, mixing again. Pour into your dish. Add 1 tbsp of Nutella in the centre, or if you’re making two ramekins add 1-2 tsp into the centre of each one. Cover over with the mix. Top with chocolate chips and airfry for approx 8-10 mins for one larger pudding, 6-8 mins for small ramekins. How to make Rachel's Nutella chocolate lava cakes in the air fryer

The recipe serves two people.
Ingredients
- 140G of Nutella
- 35g of plain flour
- One egg
- One tablespoon of milk
- 40g of chocolate chunks
Method
Step one: Preheat the oven or air fryer to 180C.
Step two: Add the Nutella and egg into a small bowl and mix thoroughly.
Step three: Add the flour and milk, then mix the ingredients again.
Step four: Pour the mixture into your ramekins or dish and add one tablespoon of Nutella into the centre. Cover over the dollop of Nutella with your batter.
Step five: Top with chocolate chips and place into the air fryer for eight to 10 minutes for one larger dish or six to eight minutes if you are using small ramekins.
