Mark Labbett reveals what motivated him to lose weight
Mark Labbett is an English TV personality who regularly appears on screens as one of the “chasers” on the ITV game show, The Chase. He has also appeared as a "chaser" on both the American and Australian versions of the programme. Although he is known as “The Beast” on the show, he has been through an incredible change in his personal life which has seen him slim down. Mark revealed he managed to shape up by cutting out one food group.

The TV star was first inspired to lose weight after he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
At this time, he weighed in at a hefty 27st and knew he had to make a change for the sake of his health.
Speaking on Loose Women, he said: “It was the diabetes. My colleague Paul Sinha also got the diagnosis and he rapidly lost two stone and he went from being diabetic to pre or non-diabetic.
“I’m waiting for my next check up and I’m hoping the figures are going to be better.”
So, what did he do to slim down?
The star explained he cut sugar from his diet to try and trim his waistline.
“I know that even if I’m lucky enough to push myself back to non-diabetic, I’ve got to treat myself as though I’m diabetic from now on,” Mark told the presenters.
Being active is also an important part of his life and helped him slim down.
He said: “I’m still eating very well – I'm just cutting out sugar because of the type two diabetes.
“That and running around after an active two-year-old.”
Another TV star recently revealed the change he made in order to shift an astounding 6st.
Celebrity chef, James Martin, lost 5st with an intensive routine while competing in Strictly Come Dancing.
He lost a further one stone by cutting out butter and other fatty foods from his diet.
Another TV chef, Gordon Ramsay, lost nearly 4st in recent years.
He tried to eat small meals and regularly exercise to make the change.
