Honda Civic saloon 2018 is coming to the UK
Honda is bringing a saloon version of the Civic 2018 to the UK market later this year.
From August 2018, customers will be able to purchase the longer and larger Civic.
It will be available with both petrol and diesel powertrains and available with either a manual or automatic transmission
The petrol version will be powered by a 1.0-litre i-VTEC with either a CVT or manual transmission.
Diesel variants will be powered by a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine paired with either a manual or new nine-speed automatic transmission.
This is the same diesel powertrain that launched on the hatchback variant earlier this year.
It is wider, longer and lower than any other Civic and has short overhangs and a sharp and aggressive front.
Drawing on some of the benefits of the hatchback, the saloon offers improved passenger and luggage space.
It is a more practical version of the hatchback that launched last year
Phil Webb, head of car at Honda UK, commented: “The Civic is a core model for Honda in Europe and has been at the heart of the brand’s strong sales and manufacturing heritage, with the hatchback built in Swindon.
“The arrival of the saloon to the UK market compliments the Civic family and will be a great addition to our showrooms alongside what is already a very successful range for Honda.”
Details on pricing, specification, grades and fuel efficiency will be announced closer to launch.
