New Audi TT gets the all-wheel-drive Quattro treatment
AUDI has released a new Quattro drive version of the popular TT.
The 2017 Audi TT has now been given Quattro all-wheel-drive
The German car firm announced that third generation versions of the TDI quattro Coupé and Roadster models were to be released.
Now Audi has revealed that these new cars will be available with Quattro all-wheel-drive, as well as the standard front-wheel-drive versions.
Exclusively partnering the 2.0 TDI unit in the new variants is a six-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission.
This powertrain produced 184PS and 380Nm of torque and uses an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch at the heart of the Quattro system.
With the Quattro system you will be able to use wheel selective torque, which ensures better handling and cornering by distributing power to the outer rear wheels.
The Coupe variant accelerates from 0-62mph in just 6.7 seconds, whilst the TDI ultra takes 7.1 seconds and both share a top speed of 145 mph.
Meanwhile the Roadster takes 7.0seconds to get from 0-62mph and has a top speed of 142 mph.
The Coupe will achieve better fuel efficiency than the Roadster as the former will achieve 52.3mpg and produces 2142g/km of CO2.
The Roadster's numbers come in with slightly less efficiency at 50.4mpg fuel economy with 147g/km of CO2.
The new all-wheel drive cars will be priced from £34,230 and are due to be delivered in the spring.
