Ramadan

Ramadan is a month of fasting undertaken by Muslims across the globe. The ninth month of the Islamic calendar, Ramadan begins once the crescent Moon is sighted. Muslims spend the month fasting between dawn and sunset, as well as praying and reflecting. Two meals break the fast - Suhoor and Iftar. The month culminates when the next crescent Moon is sighted, with a festival called Eid al-Fitr.
