Lord Ashcroft KCMG PC is a former Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party, businessman, author and pollster.
He is best known for his series of political biographies on leading figures in Westminster, both past and present. His latest biographies profile Deputy Labour leader Angela Rayner and Tory leadership frontrunner Kemi Badenoch.
His 2015 biography of David Cameron, 'Call Me Dave', sparked huge controversy over one claim about the former prime minister's alleged interaction with a pig's head.
