Emily Wright has been a World News Reporter at the Daily Express since May 2024. She frequently writes about Russia, Ukraine, world news, travel, overtourism and infrastructure. She is particularly interested in writing about global affairs, conservation and science.
Emily previously completed The Telegraph's Work Experience Programme in April 2024 and worked as an intern at Thesocialtalks in 2022.
She studied BA (Hons) History at the University of Southampton, graduating in 2022. In February 2026 she was awarded the Gold Standard in the NCTJ Diploma in Journalism (Level 5) via Distance Learning.
