He has worked at the publication for over half a decade, holding positions such as Political News Editor based in Westminster's Parliamentary Lobby, News Editor, Deputy News Editor and Live Blog Editor on the digital news desk, Video News Editor and Overnight Editor.
Sam has a particular interest in stories that matter to people living in rural areas of the UK. He spearheads the Daily Express's regional connectivity campaign and also highlights issues concerning the farming industry. He also covers the daily dramas and goings on in Westminster but enjoys getting out of London to hear from everyday voters on the ground.
Before joining the company, he worked at a London-based B2C magazine publisher as an Editorial Assistant. He has also worked in local news, covering the south London area.
