Making 10-minute workout pay
SWEATY gym sessions could be consigned to history by a vibrating machine that is set to revolutionise the fitness industry.
Friends Daniel Leeson and Mark Sixsmith have used Start-Up Loans to take advantage of the new technology by opening a studio in Manchester’s trendy Northern Quarter.
Since launching wobbleyou ltd last October, more than 600 people have enjoyed a session on one of their 10 Flabélos machines.
All your muscles are exercised as they try to counteract the wobbling of the machine. We were mesmerised
Sessions on them, developed in Hong Kong, last 10 minutes but equate to an hour in a conventional gym. Daniel, 27, said: “All your muscles are exercised as they try to counteract the wobbling of the machine. We were mesmerised. The great thing is you do not sweat so people can pop in during their lunch hour, take their shoes off and they are ready.”
Daniel and Mark, 25, got £5,000 each from the government-backed Start-Up Loan scheme. The duo now plan to open a second studio.
