Easter will be the next time people on some kind of benefit from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will be paid. HMRC has released a list of dates people can expect to be paid this month for each type of benefit. The slew of bank holidays mean people will be paid on different dates than usual, but in most cases, this means earlier payments. People can expect to be paid before Easter Friday this month, however, different benefits will pay on different dates.

Universal credit payments ultimately vary from person to person, depending on the assessment period end date for those not in work.
For those receiving in-work benefits, this is dependent on when you are normally paid by your job.
For those who have a normal payment date falling on a bank holiday, altered dates are included below:
- Due: Friday 19 April 2019
- Paid: Thursday 18 April
- Due: Monday 22 April 2019
- Paid: Thursday 18 April
If you realise you've been paid too much, you should contact the government.
The government advises people to write into the department which paid the benefits.
The address is included in any letters you have received from them.
Gov.uk advise: "Include a cheque made payable to the department, along with your National Insurance number and details of the payment, such as the date and the amount."
Personal finance experts on website the People’s Pension outlined exactly how pensions will also increase for employees.
They said: “This means the amount the employer pays into a pension pot just got bigger.
“And when the employee makes up the difference and increases the amount they pay, the amount of money the government puts in (known as tax relief) goes up too.
“This is great news as it means employees will be getting even more out of their workplace pension.”
