Aldi to raise minimum pay rate for THOUSANDS of workers as sales break £10 billion barrier
ALDI will raise minimum pay rates for thousands of store workers after its annual UK and Ireland sales broke the £10 billion barrier for the first time.

The UK's fifth biggest grocer increased December sales by more than 15 per cent after a surge in demand for premium products including mince pies, sweet cured gammon joints and Irish Cream Liqueur.
It also sold more than 6.8 million bottles of wine, champagne and Prosecco.
It is increasing the minimum hourly rate for store assistants by 3.75 per cent to £8.85, and by 4.6 per cent to £10.20 in London, from February 1.
Aldi aims to have 1,000 stores across the UK by 2022.

Last year they added 76 UK stores to take its total to 762.
