Breteuil: High-end French estate agency to expand in London
A HIGH-END French estate agency is expanding its London operations as the predicted Brexit exodus of European workers fails to materialise.
Breteuil is about to open an office in Parsons Green
Arsene Colarossi, managing director at Breteuil Immobilier, said French and other European nationals are still clamouring for rental property in the capital: “Young professionals, families and students are keen to take advantage of work and lifestyle opportunities in London, with many continuing to move here from Paris.”
Breteuil, which has an office in Fulham, is about to open another in Parsons Green.
We are now planning a third, in Notting Hill or High Street Kensington, to help us meet growing demand from European nationals
“We are now planning a third, in Notting Hill or High Street Kensington, to help us meet growing demand from European nationals.”
Colarossi said London-based employees of major French firms such as luxury brand specialists LVMH and drinks giant Pernod Ricard are staying loyal to the UK: “Brexit is causing some uncertainty but things are not too good in France right now either. We expect UK demand to grow once the political uncertainty is over.”

He has seen some European finance professionals leave the UK recently but they have gone to the US, Asia or the Middle East rather than Europe.
“Speculation about EU citizens returning home has not come true. We are committed to Britain,” he added.
