UK Goodyear branch to cost 330 jobs
TYRE company Goodyear has announced plans to close its only UK manufacturing plant, putting 330 jobs at risk.

The US group is looking to transfer operations at its Wolverhampton site elsewhere.
The proposals are subject to consultation with staff and unions. The restructuring is expected to boost the company’s operating income across its Europe, Middle East and Africa region by about $30million a year (£19million).
Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK managing director Erich Fric said: “These proposals are needed to strengthen our competitiveness.”
