Vodafone to create over 400 new jobs as mobile giant launches new broadband service
VODAFONE is ringing the changes in Britain’s multiplay communications market with the launch of a fixed-line broadband service, creating more than 400 new jobs.

The mobile giant will use the fibre optic network from its £1billion acquisition of Cable & Wireless Worldwide in 2012 to offer broadband, and eventually television, to the home. Vodafone Connect will initially be offered to existing customers in Manchester, Berkshire and parts of Hampshire and Surrey with a national rollout due later in the summer.
