Babcock International upbeat on orders
DEFENCE contractor Babcock International played down concerns it could take a hit from Government spending cuts as its order book reached a record £20billion.

The support services giant says it is seeing healthy demand for its technical expertise at home and overseas as annual pre-tax profit rose 32 per cent to £417.7million on 27 per cent higher revenue of £4.5billion.
Chief executive Peter Rogers said: “We do not anticipate any significant impact to our existing naval marine contracts and believe any budget reduction could drive an increased focus on achieving further value for money from future support solutions.”
