The budget airline traditionally makes a loss in winter – but is on course to post between a £5million loss and a £10million profit.
This compares with previous guidance of £10million to £30million losses. It was £53million in the red at the same stage last year.
But, if exchange rates are maintained, it will take a £20million hit due to costs and revenues in pounds and euros at various times of the year.
Chief Carolyn McCall said: “We expect lower fuel costs will be beneficial for customers as fares adjust.”
