Merchandising delivers £840 million heap of goodwill for British businesses
SALES of promotional products in UK have soared to £840 million as more businesses of all sizes include them in their marketing to generate interest and goodwill.
The branded T-shirt and fleece promoting the Invictus Games sported by Prince Harry and the merchandise worn by both sides in the Scottish referendum campaign are high profile recent examples of how merchandising can be harnessed, boosting trade for small and medium size firms, according to Gordon Glenister, director general of industry body the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA).
