Bill Gates pressured to quit Microsoft
MICROSOFT founder Bill Gates is said to be facing pressure to stand down as chairman of the software giant.
Three of the top 20 investors in the US company want to replace Gates who started the business 38 years ago, according to US reports.
The unnamed shareholders are concerned that with him in charge the company will be to slow to adopt new strategies.
They are also worried that he will wield too much influence over a new chief executive as the search gets under way to replace Steve Ballmer who is to retire within the next year.
