Debenhams in deal with French fashion brand Promod
FRENCH fashion brand Promod is making its first move into the UK through a tie-up with department store Debenhams.
Set up as a family boutique in 1975 Promod is now one of France’s largest clothing retailers and has more than 1,000 outlets in 56 countries.
Debenhams is adding it to its stable of in-store concessions after a successful trial in four of its Irish shops.
Promod concessions will open in Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow this month followed by Debenhams’ flagship site in London’s Oxford Street when its £25million facelift is completed later in the year.
Debenhams group trading director Suzanne Harlow said: “Debenhams has a history of bringing the best fashion brands to the UK high street.
"Having already seen huge success across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia we are confident that Promod will be a hit in Britain."
