BT attached to Kosovan PTK telecoms deal
AN international consortium including BT has come together to offer £194million to buy Kosovo’s state-owned telecoms firm PTK.
The group, led by Germany’s ACP Axos Capital and US investor Najafi Companies, hopes to snap up 75 per cent of the firm.
PTK has more than a million subscribers and also provides internet and cable TV services.
BT said its role was limited to providing advice and it would not take a stake.
Kosovo’s government, which hopes to retain the remaining 25 per cent, said a second bidder had offered £128million.
