British Airways sees a first-class result
A STRONG rise in numbers of its most profitable first and business-class travellers sent British Airways shares flying upwards yesterday.
The airline rose 15mp to a two-year high of 254mp after it revealed premium passenger numbers rose by 4.3 per cent during September. Total passenger numbers rose 1.3 per cent to 3 million.
Revenue per passenger rose by 13 per cent during the first quarter, with further improvements expected, the airline added.
