Scottish and Southern Energy pulls away from buying a major stake in UK networks
SCOTTISH & Southern Energy has pulled away from buying a major stake in the UK electricity networks being sold by France’s EDF.
SSE said it may buy a small part of the business which is expected to fetch about £4billion. Rival bidders are Hong Kong’s Cheung Kong Infrastructure and a consortium led by Australia’s Macquarie.
