Christmas pantomimes: The best socially-distanced pantos and shows to stream at home
CHRISTMAS may feel a little different this year, but panto fans can still get a chance to watch a big show but from the comfort of their own homes.
Holly Willoughby says pantomime is ‘all she’s ever wanted to do’
Christmas will be a lot quieter than usual, with many pubs closed and families only able to get together for a few days. Despite this, shouts of ‘Oh no he didn’t!’ could still continue, but from our own homes. Here Express.co.uk rounds up the best of the online pantomimes and those with socially-distanced audiences.
Dame Trott’s Panto Palaver
Cambridge Arts Theatre will be returning pantomimes but in a very different setting.
Their panto, Dame Trott’s Panto Palaver, sees Count Covidula steal the master scripts for the pant, with various strange characters coming to light to bring fans everything they love about pantomimes.
This pantomime is socially distanced, meaning fans can buy tickets on the Cambridge Arts Theatre website for shows on December 11 to January 3.

Dick Whittington
Dick Whittington is another favourite, and he will be returning to the stage at the National Theatre.

The show will be made available on The Shows Must Go On and National Theatre YouTube channels.
Snow White in the Seven Months of Lockdown
A Covid-19 twist on a classic, The King’s Head Theatre is bringing Snow White into the panto world in a brand new way.
The show will allow fans to interact with the players as the show goes on, and comes in both family and adult versions, meaning it is perfect for whomever you are spending Christmas with.
The show is streamed online but is still a ticketed event, and tickets are available for shows on December 14 to 31.
