Babymetal announce anime web series PLUS December UK tour with Red Hot Chili Peppers
BABYMETAL will star in their own Warner Bros animated show as they prepare to support Red Hot Chili Peppers on their UK tour.
BABYMETAL - Gimme Chocolate!
Following their sold out show at Wembley Arena in London earlier this year, the J-pop metal band’s new show will blend both animation and live action.
Deadline reported the full synopsis for the new series: “The action-adventure will take viewers inside the magical world of heavy metal music as it comes under attack, and one lonely god, Kitsune, forms the warrior band BABYMETAL to save the day.
“In the series, Su-Metal, Yuimetal and Moametal join together to ultimately redefine the genre."

They added: “The series also will feature new live-action performances from the group, who will enter the animated world through a secret portal.”
The band actually sidestepped a question about the possibility of an animated series in Express Online’s exclusive interview at Download Festival earlier this year.
Warner Bros Animation, who are behind The Lego Movie and Batman: The Killing Joke will helm the show.
The studio’s President Sam Register said: “BABYMETAL have to be seen to be believed.
“We are huge fans here at Blue Ribbon Content and are extremely excited to help bring the Babymetal phenomenon to U.S. audiences through this upcoming digital series.”
Babymetal will return to the UK this December to support Red Hot Chili Peppers on their The Getaway World Tour.
