Frank Sinatra: The Concert Sinatra
SINATRA fans should be drooling at the prospect of this 1963 humdinger being remastered.
Not in fact a concert but the product of the biggest-ever orchestra put together by long-time collaborator Nelson Riddle for Sinatra, this gathers together some of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s finest work, You’ll Never Walk Alone, This Nearly Was Mine, Soliloquy, Ol’ Man River and makes almost definitive recordings of them.
The orchestra never crowds out Frank who, though he lacked emotional range, is in excellent voice.
