Elvis Presley: Ginger Alden says there are a lot of ‘untruths’

Today marks what would have been Elvis Presley’s 90th birthday, which fans are celebrating around the world.

Having died of a heart attack at just 42, his final birthday in 1977 was celebrated with his last girlfriend, Ginger Alden.

Almost 50 years later, she has paid tribute to the star on her official Facebook page.

She wrote: “It’s so hard to think Elvis would be ninety!! I was truly blessed to have been at his side and able to share his 42nd birthday with him in Palm Springs in 1977.

“Never forgotten, always loved and so deeply missed. With very special memories of a unique and beautiful soul and our time together. Happy Heavenly Birthday wishes to Elvis.”

Last year, Ginger shared details of how Elvis spent his final birthday 48 years ago.

She wrote: “Being with him for his 42nd birthday was a blessing all those many years ago. He had been studying and reading a few days in his Palm Springs home with me and my sister Rosemary from some books he was interested in and then he’d decide on January 8th that he wanted to read and share thoughts with a few others he’d invited over.”
