Taylor Swift confirms surprising support acts for UK Eras Tour shows

Taylor Swift fans will already know that the American songstress will be hitting the UK in just a matter of days - but things are still changing every day.

The Anti-Hero singer has just announced three new support acts set to join her on The Eras Tour in the UK next month.

Previously, the only confirmed act was Paramore, the American rock band best known for Misery Business, Still Into You, Hard Times and many other major hits.

But, that wasn't enough of a party for Taylor, who just wrote a heartfelt post on her social media accounts about who will be joining her in Great Britain this year.

"I just found out Fortnight is #1 on the UK airplay chart!!!!" she wrote. "You guys are amazing and I can’t wait to see you so soon! Thought this might be a fun time to announce the first group of opening acts I’ll be adding to the London shows, going on before Paramore."

Speaking out with elation about this announcement, Griff confirmed: "TAYLOR SWIFT HAS INVITED ME ON THE ERAS TOUR!!!!!! 8 yr old me who had fearless on repeat wouldn’t believe this. So unbelievably grateful to Taylor for all the love she’s shown me and my music. See you at Wembley on June 22nd." (sic)

Mette also commented: "It’s a new ERA for ya girl… Opening the “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour” on June 21st at Wembley Stadium in London. Thank you @taylorswift13 – Never been so excited in my entire life!!! #TSTheErasTour."

Benson added: "@taylorswift so excited to be part of the show thank you for having me." (sic)

Considering these three artists are very much up and coming, it is rather surprising for Taylor to introduce such small names to her tour - especially considering it is the biggest live concert experience of a generation.

Regardless, this will be extremely exciting for fans who have already got tickets... but those who did not manage to purchase any may be left disappointed. But there is still hope.
