Reading Festival: Tents and rubbish left behind by crowds
Reading and Leeds 2024 are just a few months away, but things are continuing to expand for the annual festivals.
Today, it has been announced that Reading and Leeds 2024 will introduce a brand new stage to the events: The Chevron Stage.
This groundbreaking open-air venue has been built especially for dance and hip-hop music.
The 40,000-capacity venue will "push the live experience" of artists forward, using a specially made high-tech production, including the "world's first floating LED video canopy".
As if that wasn't enough, this stage is where three massive artists will be headlining across the Reading and Leeds 2024 weekend.
The Chevron will see headliners The Prodigy, Sonny Fodera and Skrillex take to the stage over the course of the weekend.
As if this wasn't exciting enough, The Chevron will also be the new home of the world's biggest silent disco, which was last year headlined by SIGMA.
Festival Republic's Managing Director Melvin Benn said: "The Chevron is more than just a physical stage; it's a testament to Reading & Leeds’ continued commitment to innovation and industry leadership. We demonstrated this previously, with the introduction and success of dual main stages in 2021. This year I saw the opportunity to do something new and truly special, reflecting the audience's evolving tastes and cutting edge production the show is known for."
Melvin added: "This elevates our electronic and hip-hop music offerings, while still delivering six main-stage headliners and a strong representation across other genres. I can’t wait for everyone to experience The Chevron this summer."
Reading and Leeds 2024 takes place over the August bank holiday weekend - Wednesday 21st August - Sunday 25th August.
