Back in the early 1990s, The Beatles legends Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr recorded a demo song. Titled Angel In Disguise, the track was set to appear on the Fab Four drummer’s 1992 solo album Time Takes Time. Incredibly, the song didn’t make it on to the LP, but now the cassette containing the unheard song is being sold at auction.
The owner is former Radio Luxembourg DJ Tony Prince, who expects the prized Beatles track to made up to £20,000.
It’s been announced that a quarter of the profits will be donated to the NHS coronavirus appeal.
The rest will go to Prince’s United DJs radio station project.
It also turns out the cassette has two versions of Angel In Disguise recorded on it.

Speaking with the BBC, Chris Shaw, the host of The Beatles podcast I am the Egg Pod, admitted how thrilling the news was.

He said: “Any newly discovered Beatles-related songs are always exciting for fans, and the Starr/McCartney credit makes this all the more alluring.
“However, the fact that Angel in Disguise was rejected suggests that it may not be the best song in the world.
“Sometimes these things are better left as tantalising mysteries."
