Fortnite Season 5: What time does Season 5 launch - Fortnite Llamas invade Europe
FORTNITE fans are counting down the days until Season 5 starts with Epic Games dropping several huge hints as to what we can expect. What time does Season 5 launch?
Fortnite: Season 5 'Battle Royale' map revealed
Epic Games released an official teaser for Fortnite Season 5 last night, sending fans deep into a theory frenzy attempting to work out what the new season will bring.
In the meantime, purple Fortnite llamas have sprung up across Europe with no explanation from Epic Games as to what they are doing.
Why are Fortnite llamas appearing across Europe?
Early on Monday morning, Fortnite fan and Reddit user eversoris86, found a Fortnite llama standing just inside a phone booth in Covent Garden in London.
Tucked inside a red telephone box, the llama caused minor confusion to the London pedestrians.
Little did they know this was the beginning of an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) that Epic Games has started.
Just a few hours later, a similar llama was found in Cologne, Germany, which was first posted in the Game Detectives discord by user bimbam512 and another in Barcelona, Spain, by Twitter user BCNYC.
It is worth noting here that Gamescom is being hosted in Cologne this year, meaning fans should expect some big announcements from Germany.
Initially, fans thought the locations made a triangle on a European map, placing France in the middle, with Paris close to the centre of the triangle.
However, another llama was later found in Warsaw, Poland, causing Fortnite theorists to scramble back to the drawing board to work out just what is going on.
The theory is that the Fortnite map’s giant rift in the sky is causing relics from different times to appear and disappear in the game.
When will Fortnite Season 5 begin?
Season 5 will begin in the early hours of July 12, so there is still time for Epic Games to drop more hints.
The new season will kick off at 9am BST (4am ET) on Thursday.
Season 4 finished on July 9, yesterday, but Epic Games have been dropping lots of hints as to what will happen next season.
There have been no more llamas found across Europe so far, but it is safe to say fans should expect some big news to arrive in the coming days.
