Nintendo Switch games: BLOCKBUSTER new release coming to NX, PS4, Xbox One
NINTENDO Switch games list has been boosted by the news that an upcoming blockbuster will launch on the NX, PS4 and Xbox One at the same time.
Nintendo Switch games could include Assassin's Creed Empire
Nintendo Switch games list has been boosted by the news of a blockbuster new release.
With the Nintendo Switch release date set for March, Nintendo has been busy partnering up with developers and publishers on new releases.
Assassin's Creed Empire is reportedly in line for a Nintendo Switch release, according to Nintendo insider Laura Dale.
And not only is the new Assassin's Creed game planned for the Nintendo Switch, but it's expected to launch at the same time as other versions.
This suggests that the Nintendo Switch version is on par with the PS4 and Xbox One releases, which gives us another clue about the console's specs.
It's certainly better news than the report that the Nintendo Switch won't have a replaceable battery, which could seriously impact its reliability as a handheld device.
The Nintendo Switch games lineup is growing by the day. Recently it revealed that THQ was planning to release three games for the console.
THQ Nordic has acquired the rights to Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, as well as turn-based strategy games War Leaders: Clash of Nations and Legends of War.
Third-person adventure game Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is said to be particularly well suited to the Nintendo Switch.
This is on top of Nintendo Switch ports of Stardew Valley, as well as a Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ release.
But even more exciting is news that the Dark Souls trilogy might be coming to the Nintendo Switch.
From Software reportedly has Dark Souls 3 up and running on the console, but will only pull the trigger on a port if the Nintendo Switch sells well at launch.

As for Assassin's Creed Empire, recently leaked production and final pyramid renders appear to confirm an Egyptian setting.
Ubisoft is yet to confirm the authenticity of the images, but rumours of an Egyptian setting have been doing the rounds for a while now.
Assassin's Creed Empire will also take a radically different approach to storytelling, with Ubisoft recently suggesting that linear narratives will play second fiddle to exploration.
The game is expected to launch in 2017, but Ubisoft has suggested that it could be delayed if it doesn't meet the required standards.
