Xbox One vs PS4: Microsoft BEATS Sony in latest battle
XBOX ONE is starting to gain momentum, as Sony once again falls behind its console rival.
Xbox One beats PS4 in the sales stakes in September
Xbox One scored another huge victory over the PS4 in September, as sales continue to rise for the console.
Thanks to the release of the Xbox One S and games like Forza Horizon 3, Microsoft's Xbox One managed to outsell the PS4 throughout North America in September.
According to Microsoft, the Xbox One was the only console to show year-on-year growth in the UK, Australia and North America for the month of September.
Not only that, but it's the third month running the Xbox One has outperformed the PS4 in the region.
Forza Horizon 3 was also the top-selling first party Xbox One game for the month, although it's unclear how it performed against third-party releases such as FIFA 17 and Destiny.
It will be interesting to see how the Xbox One performed against the PS4 in the month of September in the UK.
The PS4 did win last week's battle thanks to a slew of PS4 console bundles and cheap PlayStation deals.
With prices slashed, the PS4 outsold the Xbox One last week, giving Sony a victory against Microsoft - and just as the latter was gathering steam.
PS4 console sales were up by 380% on the week before thanks to huge PS4 hardware discounts and FIFA 17 console bundles.
