Today's Google Doodle celebrates eighth day of World Cup clashes
TODAY is another big day for England's World Cup squad as embodied in this morning's Google's doodle.
The cute animation shows the Google logo performing keepie-uppies with a yellow and green football, a nod to the matches set to take place in Brazil this evening.
After their 2-1 defeat to Italy on Saturday, England will be hoping for a better result in their match against Uruguay.
Tonight's match is worth a staggering £400million to the UK economy, and for each week they manage to stay in England will earn UK businesses another £200million in sales.
Also set to clash are Colombia v Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and Japan v Greece, both from Group C.
Yesterday saw a shock defeat for Spain, who lost 2-0 to Chile.
The Netherlands also beat Australia 3-2, while Croatia thrashed Cameroon 4-0.
Today is the eighth day of the competition.
England's match against Uruguay kicks off today at 8pm on ITV.
