The latest update as part of WWE 2K26’s Ringside Pass is mere hours away. Wrestling fans are set for a brand new drop of fresh content including new playable characters, cosmetic items and more.

The four new wrestlers coming to Season Four of WWE 2K26’s Ringside Pass have long been confirmed by 2K Games. Season Four heralds the return of Team Xtreme, as Matt and Jeff Hardy are set to land in-game as part of the premium track of the Ringside Pass. They’ll be joined by AAA luchadora Lady Shani and country musician Jelly Roll, who has starred as a celebrity guest for WWE in recent years.

WWE 2K26 Season 4 start time, date and server maintenance

WWE 2K26 Season 4 begins on Wednesday, July 22. The Ringside Pass is set to drop at the usual time, but previous seasons will still be unlockable for those who haven’t yet completed Seasons 1-3.

Season 4 will go live in WWE 2K26 at roughly 6pm BST - that means 10am PT and 1pm ET for American gamers. There’s usually a short period of server downtime ahead of a new season rollout, meaning an hour or two where matchmaking and online play aren't available.

The last pre-DLC patch for WWE 2K26, 1.12, was roughly 8GB for Xbox players, so a download of similar size is expected with 2K having promised a new patch “in support” of Season 4.

WWE 2K26 Season 4 content

As well as the arrival of Matt and Jeff Hardy’s base characters, a number of alternate attires and Persona Cards will be added in Season 4. For instance, Jeff Hardy ‘00 and Lita ‘00 will both be available on the Premium Track.

They aren’t the only ones, however. Three new alternates are coming to the free track in John Cena ‘25, Chad Gable ‘16 and Shinsuke Nakamura ‘23.

A host of themed cosmetics, like Hardy Boyz attire, will be unlockable too. Another celebrity superstar, New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson, returns to WWE 2K26 in the new patch on July 22.

How to unlock the Hardy Boyz, John Cena '25 and more in WWE 2K26 Season 4

Because the new content is locked to the Ringside Pass, gamers will need to earn Ringside Pass XP (RXP) to climb through the 40 reward tiers. Every player earns RXP simply through playing any of the WWE 2K26 game modes.

That means no matter what your favourite mode, be it Play Now, Universe, MyRise, Showcase, MyGM, MyFaction or The Island, you'll pick up RXP naturally. There are some important things to bear in mind, however.

Most importantly, you must be connected to the 2K servers during gameplay to register RXP. Custom lobbies and AI simulations don't grant RXP.

Winning matches pays out more RXP than simply just playing, as a multiplier applies to victories over the base RXP you get no matter what. You can also complete daily and seasonal challenges to earn bigger RXP boosts and climb through the Ringside Pass quicker.

And don't forget - Season 4 will remain available if you want to complete the older Ringside Pass content first. You can toggle between each season in the Ringside Pass menus at any time.

Finally, Premium Track holders can also purchase optional tier skips to grab the content they want immediately instead of griding for RXP.
