Xbox Game Pass is set to lose another eight games from its library next week as older content is swapped out for newer titles. This brings the total games removed from the service in July to 19.

Earlier in the month, Xbox fans said goodbye to the likes of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Stellaris, Dungeons of Hinterburg and PowerWash Simulator. While it’s disappointing to see – especially if you’re halfway through one of the games when it gets removed – it’s part and parcel of the gaming subscription.

So, which games is Xbox set to remove from Game Pass this month? Here’s the full list of eight:

  • My Friendly Neighborhood
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance
  • Crusader Kings 3
  • Wisherwood
  • Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord
  • Back to the Dawn
  • Rain World
  • Celeste

These titles are all set to be removed on July 31, 2026. As such, you still have over a week to check them off your back catalogue if you were eyeing them up in your library.

I’m personally a big fan of Celeste, the 2D platformer that tasks players with scaling a huge mountain. Its pixel-perfect movement is a joy to master, and was one of my favourite games from 2017.

On the plus side, these removed games do make way for other new additions to the service. Next week will see the brand new Halo Campaign Evolved hit the service, a complete remake of the original game in Unreal Engine 5.

We’re also expecting Xbox to announce a new wave of games coming to the service in August soon. We’ll report back when we know more.

Which game are you most disappointed to see leave Xbox Game Pass this month?
