Pokemon Go's new features 'play together, trade together'
Pokemon Go developer Niantic has revealed the final Community Day secret ahead of this weekend's event.
Taking place from 10am BST until 1pm UK time, this month's Community Day event takes place on September 22.
The September 22 Community Day focuses on Gen 2 starter Pokemon Chikorita, and its evolutions Bayleef and Meganium.
As fans await the start of the big event, Niantic has finally revealed the special move that can be unlocked by fans.
Evolving a Bayleef into Meganium during the event unlocks the Grass-type special move Frenzy Plant.
"You’d better Bayleef it, Trainers!" reads a Niantic tweet. "Meganium evolved during September Community Day will know the Grass-type attack Frenzy Plant, a Pokemon GO CommunityDay exclusive!"
It's worth remembering that this special attack is only available during Community Day, so you'll need to evolve your Pocket Monsters before 1pm
As with all Community Day events, other bonuses will also be available to players.
Lures will last for the entire duration of the event, while capturing Pokemon earns players triple XP.
And with just a few days to go before the September Community Day event, Niantic has given Team Valor and Team Instinct extra incentive to go out and catch some Pokemon.
According to the August Community Day stats, the blues of Team Mystic thrashed their blue and yellow counterparts.
The blue team caught the most Eevees in North America, Asia, Africa and Europe; the reds of Team Valor would dominate Oceania and the yellows won the battle in South America.
