With four films under his belt and saying he’d rather slit his wrists than play Bond again, Craig could still make a comeback.
The 48-year-old recently signed up for a 20 episode Showtime series called Purity, a commentary on contemportary American life.
While fans thought this was the actor’s way of officially bowing out as 007, it now looks like he’s not quite finished with the role.

He said: “It depends when they do the next James Bond movie, but I don’t think it precludes him is the answer.
“This will largely be completed during the course of 2017, depending how long they’re willing to wait and shoot the next Bond.
“There might be some breaks somewhere, but [production] will be fairly continuous.”
Despite Craig’s negativity at the thought of returning on the Spectre press tour, the actor’s hasn’t confirmed or denied his return.
As it stands he’s completed the same amount of movies (four) as Pierce Brosnan, the last actor to play Bond.
Some fans feel Craig’s too old now, as he’d be at least 50 when a fifth outing is released.
Turner and Norton as hot favourites to replace Craig
Nevertheless Roger Moore was 57-years-old in 1985’s A View to a Kill.
Last week it was claimed Barbara Broccoli wouldn’t cast Tom Hiddleston to replace Craig as Bond.
Meanwhile James Norton and Aidan Turner remain the bookies’ favourites to replace him, should he bow out.
