Harry Potter and the Cursed Child film may happen: Radcliffe 'waiting to see script'
WARNER BROS could be planning a Harry Potter and the Cursed Child movie based on JK Rowling’s play, which Daniel Radcliffe may return for.
A film adaption of the Harry Potter play is in the works
The film studio behind the eight Harry Potter films are busy with Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts trilogy, but they’re already looking to the next project.
Warner Bros filed for copyright on the title Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on July 8th.
This action suggests a film adaption, which would leave the option open for some of the original cast to return.
Rowling's representatives have since commented on the move...

A spokesperson said: "This type of trademarking is standard practice. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a stage play, with no plans for there to be a film."
Nevertheless, a film adapation is still possible in the future.
Just two weeks ago Daniel Radcliffe discussed his plans to play an older Harry Potter in future movies.
The actor said: “It would depend on the script. The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary."
The 19 Years Later ending of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows can be seen as a teaser for where Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint could go in the eighth story.
The plot carries on from that very scene, set in 2017, when Harry’s son Albus Severus Potter goes to Hogwarts with Rose Granger-Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy.
A book of the two-part play’s script will be released in the UK on July 31, the same day as Rowling and Potter’s birthday.

Rowling had previously stated the play would not be a film.
In February she said: “You heard wrong, I’m afraid. Cursed Child is a play. Fantastic Beasts will be three movies though.”
However the news of copywriting firmly suggests she’s since change her mind.
