The uncensored trailer was accidentally played before the PG-13 Pixar sequel began at the Brenden Concord cinema in California.
Sausage Party is the first R-rated 3D-animated movie ever made and sees innocent supermarket groceries discovering their shocking true purpose. As their buyer prepares a meal they see their ultimate fate in a Fourth of July feast and desperately plot to escape.
The rude and outrageous comedy was certainly never intended for small children.
The cinema’s vice President of Operations released a statement after the incident.

He said: "Playing that trailer was a one-time, honest mistake by a theatre manager.
“[He was] moving screens around in an effort to accommodate several large, last-minute groups wanting to see Dory. The wrong movie was started by mistake.
"We regret it, apologise for it and we are not happy that it happened.
“We fully realise that this trailer is not appropriate for Dory and we would never schedule something like that.”
Sausage Party stars R-rated comedy regulars Rogan, Jonah Hill and James Franco.
They’re joined by Craig Robinson, Kirsten Wiig, Michael Cera, Bill Hader, Paul Rudd and Edward Norton.
Rogan and Franco caused global controversy when the release of The Interview was threatened by the North Korean government for mocking Kim Jong-Un.
WARNING: The trailer below is uncensored and inappropriate for children.
Rogen says its taken him eight years to get it made as most film studios were concerned about the content.
Rogen said: “People like to project their emotions on to the things around them – their toys, their cars, their pets.
“So we thought: “What would it be like if our food had feelings?' We very quickly realised that it would be f***ed up.”
Sausage Party is released in UK cinemas September 2, 2016.
